In high school, someone told me I should never try to be a director, because “no one would ever listen” to me. However, the universe seemed to have other plans. As a playwright, I struggled to find other people to direct my play scripts. I finally started mounting my own productions, which inspired me to study directing at Southern Oregon University. This interest in directing soon bled into my film career. I directed my debut short film “Not A Bench” in order to get it filmed before my close friend and co-star, Jimmy Dix, passed away. The film went on to win two awards and led to me deciding to become a filmmaker. I have since directed several projects for the stage and screen. My most recent film project is “The Diminished,” which is currently in post-production.
