“From the Dark,” an independent horror film I acted in, is receiving its world premiere in a special 2-night limited screening event. It will be playing at the Varsity Theater in Ashland, Oregon and at Southgate Cinemas in Grants Pass, Oregon.

A lot has been written about the lead actress, Wyn Reed, and I won’t go into that story here. All I will say at the moment is that I don’t think it’s fair to call either her or her character in the film a “killer.” But yes, this is the film that was featured in a yet-to-be-aired episode of Dateline NBC.

I will say that Ms. Reed is incredibly talented and was an excellent scene partner, and that the rest of the cast and crew did a phenomenal job as well in bringing this rural horror/mystery/thriller to life. The plot involves a chateau and caves in the woods of Oregon, where employees celebrating the end of the season start to experience some spooky happenings as the night goes on.

If you can’t attend these screenings, I have heard some buzz that the movie will be available for streaming soon, so keep an eye out for that update.
