My passion for writing plays began in high school, when I started writing plays and performing them in my school’s blackbox theatre. My first two scripts won second and first place at the Oregon State Thespian Conference. Less than a year later, I participated in the Ashland New Plays Festival’s 24/7 Playwriting Festival, where I had the honor of working with the late, great artists G. Valmont Thomas and Catherine E. Coulson—an experience I will always treasure. Other playwrights at that event included Lisa Loomer, Stacey Rose, and Claudia Alick.
Since then, my plays have been workshopped/featured at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Southern Oregon University, College of the Siskiyous, the Oregon Fringe Festival, Ashland Contemporary Theatre, and Theatre Convivio.
Thanks to my interest in music and rock history, I’ve also been commissioned twice to write scripts and do dramaturgical research for the "Spotlight On" series of biographical musical reviews for Camelot Theatre Company in Talent, Oregon.
