NOW STREAMING! "One Step Ahead"
One Step Ahead Is on Amazon Prime
The suspense film noir “One Step Ahead” is now streaming on Amazon Prime! I acted in this movie and it was a lot of fun. I know I say this about every film I’ve ever done, but this one was especially memorable. For one thing, it’s set in the 1960s and I got to rock some really fun looks I’d been wanting to try since watching “Mad Men.”
“One Step Ahead” is a feature-length film shot entirely in Southern Oregon, making this the first time Medford has been so prominently featured in a film noir since “Double Indemnity.” (Y’all remember the “Medford Man,” right?) If you don’t, and have been to Medford, then you really ought to make this a double feature and watch “Double Indemnity” as well. If you do know what I’m talking about, congratulations on your excellent taste!
(I’m realizing now that “Medford Men” could be a great idea for a 1960’s-era show set in Medford. Somebody please stop me before I start actually writing this.)
Anyway, back to ONE STEP AHEAD. What are some other reasons you might want to watch? Well, let me tell you:
You’ll be supporting an independent film that was created through hard work, talent, and a cast and crew made up of at least 75% United States Postal Service employees (which is just a coincidence, but still a very interesting one!)
It’s set in an AU (alternate universe) where smartphones and other modern inventions existed in the 1960s. You might not know yet how much you want to see people in ‘60’s outfits walking around with cell phones, but it’s a trip!
Vintage cars!
Action sequences!
Cool hats!
Plus, have you seen my demo reel and wondered why I was eating that olive? Well THIS IS THE MOVIE WHERE I EAT THAT OLIVE! All will be revealed. Olive it. (Okay stopping now.)
That, and much more, in…
